You’re right about the truth telling approach vs the marketing approach, when speaking about the expected work effort for reaching enlightenment. Never let that approach go, that’s you’re trademark…When ppl are already having a hard time being honest with themselves, when confronted with their illusions, the last thing thing they need is an excuse for questioning you further.

Thank you for this video , I needed this one. I get discouraged often for my failure to visualize. Also, starting your book list now. I’m done being N armchair philosopher, time to act!!

Thanks for putting me on the path Leo. For me , my wife, and my newborn child. You don’t realize what you’ve done to a family you’ll never know.

Thank you Leo. Your lessons are always timely. I was just beating myself up for not being an expert counsellor, during my first student practice sessions! Imagine that. Then this lesson appeared in my email. I’ve studied filmmaking, teaching, holistic coaching and transpersonal counselling – I am a jack of all trades and a master in none. Of course all the years of study I have done in different fields has not made me into an expert in any one field, but I have all this knowledge I am wanting to share with the world. What you do gives me hope. Realistic hope. You were the first mentor I found a few years back and I just want to thank you for the work you do.

BTW: How much research planning and contemplation time goes into each video? How many years did it cost you to turn a profit? Do you have a team doing specific things for you or do you do it all yourself? What is your schedule (e.g. 1 video per week) and what do you think about consistency?

Peter says:

Thanks Leo. I must confess that I have watched a lot of your videos but it seems that I have not made much progress though I found them very useful. Probably, what I need to do is to apply what I have learned into practice consistently and persistently. However, I understand that it’s easier said than done. I failed many times. This video encourages me to keep trying and failing again and again and again. Then, I will achieve my goal ultimately. Thanks again.

“It could take a month to build your house or ten years but you are cool with it either way” – But Leo, you do realise that the time it takes to complete your project bears no relation to your expectations? The reality is that it will take as long as it takes. So you have no choice but to be cool with it and not to expect anythiing in particular. It might take 10 years, but expecting it to take 1 year will not influence the outcome.

Having a rough idea to use as a basis for planning a project is totally different from having an expectation. An ‘expectation’ is something you BELIEVE WILL happen. It is inconsequential to the reality of the situation. It would be healthier to use the word ‘estimate’, as holding expectations only leads to emotional discord when reality fails to meet your expectations.
