Just bought two 26TB WD hard drives.

I use WD drives to store all my data. I have 21 WD hard drives in all, ranging from 6TB to 26TBs each. My backup NAS unit is 80TBs alone. About 200TBs of disk space in total.

These are the drives I use. (affiliate link)

About 5-10% of all hard drives like this, of any brand, will die. WD has an excellent warranty service. These drives have a 5-year warranty. If one dies on you within 5 years you can go to their website, ship the broken drive to them, and they will ship you a new working one. I’ve done this at least 3 times and it works well. But still, expect about 5% of drives to die after the 5 years. I’ve lost a few that way. But most of them last 10+ years.

I use a QNAP NAS to handle backup. QNAP makes an excellent NAS, with many different models. My model is similar to this one but has 5 bays and is an older version. If you’re a professional PC user, you should invest in a NAS to backup your data.

I use GoodSync software for running daily scheduled backups of all my devices. GoodSync is my favorite backup software. I recommend getting an older version which is not a yearly subscription. GoodSync is must-have software for PC professionals.

This is a good setup if you’re a serious YouTube creator. You need to make sure all your work and videos are backed up. If not, disaster will strike you one day. Drives are guaranteed to die.
