Tristan Harris is a good example of responsibility and maturity.

I’m firmly convinced that none of these AI companies will create AGI. So that’s not the problem. The problem is how they will use more limited kinds of AI for profit maximization and corruption. Especially as their AGI dream implodes and they become desperate to prop up their vastly overinflated stock prices.

I am predicting an AI bubble stock market crash coming in the next few years because AGI will not materialize.

The situation is not going to be that we have some God-like AI, it will be that corruption and greedy monopolistic tech companies use AI to shove low-quality AI slop down our throats. We will be drowning in toxic capitalistic forms of AI. It will not vastly improve our lives, but waste our mental bandwidth with crap. That’s the real AI future, not fantasies of God-like AI smarter than humans. The future is AI mediocrity, grifting, slop, ads, stupidity, scams, misinformation, and annoyance.
