The Relativity Of Christianity
By Leo Gura - October 27, 2026
Christian: “I’m a Christian so as a Christian I get to define what true Christianity is and who counts as a true Christian.”
Non-Christian: “No you don’t. If you can call yourself a Christian, then I have as much right to call myself a Christian as you. You can define Christianity however you want, and I can define Christianity however I want. If your definition can exclude me from being a Christian, then my definition can exclude you from being a Christian. I can worship dinosaurs and call that Christianity and there is nothing you can do about it.”
Christian: “Nonsense! Worshiping dinosaurs is not true Christianity.”
Non-Christian: “Of course you’d say that because you’re not a true Christian. A true Christian knows that dinosaur-worship is essential to Christianity.”
Christian: “But Jesus never said anything about dinosaurs!”
Non-Christian: “Jesus never said anything about Christianity, churches, the Bible, abortion, or the Pope either. And you have no idea what Jesus actually said. In my Bible it says that Jesus said that Christians must worship dinosaurs.”
Christian: “But that’s not the real Bible!”
Non-Christian: “Your Bible is not the real Bible. Jesus appeared to me in a vision and told me that your Bible was written by Satan to mislead gullible humans.”
Christian: “But that’s just nonsense you made up!”
Non-Christian: “No more-so than what you believe.”
Christian: “No way! My Christianity is the real one.”
Non-Christian: “That’s why we must kill all of you heretics until only dinosaur-worshiping Christians remain. Jesus told me that all of you fake non-dinosaur Christians are going to dinosaur-Hell away.”
Christian: “But that’s just some crazy hallucination you had!”
Non-Christian: “God means that everything is a hallucination.”

The Christian does not have enough intelligence to understand that he has no more right to define Christianity than anyone else. Literally anyone can define Christianity however they want. The only limit is what you’re able to convince yourself of. The Christian has convinced himself that he gets to decide what Christianity is while denying this privilege to everyone else.
The reason it works this way is because “Christianity” is an invented category. Literally you invented Christianity. Anyone can re-invent Christianity at any time however they want. This isn’t theoretical, this has happened thousands of times within Christianity. Because Christianity is invented. There is no such thing as the “true” “original” invention. Christianity is whatever enough people say it is.
This is why Christians hate relativity. Relativity destroys the possibility of a simplistic one true faith. Relativity breaks the Christian’s brain. This is also why religion must be dogmatic. If religion was not dogmatic it would splinter into a thousand different directions to suit the individuals’ survival. This is why religion uses force, coercion, persecution, punishment, demonization, excommunication, government, propaganda, and brainwashing to sustain itself. Without those devilish tactics there could not be a monolithic religion. A monolithic religion is created by killing and demonizing everyone who disagrees with you until there is no one left to say otherwise. Christianity is evil because it is an unconscious system of survival whose #1 priority is to defend and reproduce itself.
