The Myth Of Science

The following is the perfect example of what I mean by “the myth of science”:

That’s profoundly wrong. Of course science does not work that way. Of course science is dogmatic, closedminded, egotistical, political, and sociological. Of course science has an agenda. Of course science is not proud to say it’s wrong. Of course science is not primarily about truth.

The myth of science is not just held by fools and laymen. It is held first and foremost by the best scientists. And then that self-misunderstanding and epistemic cluelessness trickles down to everyone else in society, down to Hollywood directors and bros on Reddit. The fish is rotten from the head down to the tail.

I have to say that because otherwise scientists will make the excuse that only the tail of the fish is rotten. No. The tail is rotten because the head is rotten. The rot is not with the laymen fools, it’s with the biggest scientists and the entire institution of science. Every department, every arm of the entire institution of science is rotten to it deepest core. Science is so corrupt and so epistemically and ontologically rotten that no one in the institution can even imagine — because it would be too painful.

The problem is, when Christopher Nolan speaks the above, every scientist proudly nobs his head in approval. None of them cares enough about truth to question it.

Science does not respect truth. That’s just what they tell themselves to not be ashamed of their lack of respect for truth. If you respected truth, you would have found God. How can science respect truth when it denies its very existence?

Science respects truth so little that they set the bar so low for themselves that they jump over it and think that’s all there is to respecting truth. If you truly respected truth you would set the bar so high that no scientist would clear it. If you truly respected truth you would be horrified at the epistemic and ontological sloppiness of science. When I look at science, I am horrified at what I see. Because I actually respect truth. I respected truth so much that I was forced to deconstruct science. If you truly respect truth, you will see the myth that science has portrayed itself to be.

Science’s own image of itself is not truth, but fantasy. A scientific fantasy.

When I say conformity, this is what I mean. This is the true meaning of conformity. If Christopher Nolan fell for it, anyone can fall for it.

How am I supposed to point this out without offending everyone? People want me to be inoffensive, but at the same time point out profound stuff like this. There is no polite way to see this. It is a rude awakening. If I said it politely, it would just be ignored.

It is like you walk in on a group of guys raping a corpse. You say, “Oh my God! I can’t believe you guys are raping a corpse!” And their response is, “Hey! Don’t be so rude!” “Rude?! You’re raping a corpse!”

Nothing I say can be as rude as what science does.
