The Historicity Of Christianity
By Leo Gura - October 8, 2026
The historicity of Christianity is an interesting topic. Far better than reading the Bible, you should listen to serious historians on the origins of the Bible and Christianity. This is far more informative and interesting than taking Christianity seriously. A lot of great scholarship and research has been done on the historicity of the Bible. Below are some of my favorite channels, videos, and sources. You must be very skeptical and epistemically cautious in this domain because, of course, Christians will say and do anything to defend their toxic cult. You need to listen to scholars who are not Christians. All Christian scholars are corrupt, so listening to them is nearly worthless.
Christians and Christianity in general does not have construct-awareness. That means they don’t understand how the mind constructs stuff like Christianity. Christianity is a human construct. It’s interesting to study how they constructed it. Recognize that if you think Jesus was somebody important, that is YOU doing that. Jesus in only important in one place: Your Mind.

What is my position on Jesus?
- Nobody actually knows anything about Jesus. Everyone is guessing and pretending to know, which is bad epistemology. The truth is, you don’t know. If you can’t accept that, you’re making a mistake.
- Christians certainly do not know. They are just pretending and bullshitting. Every last Christian is pretending. That’s why they require faith. They need faith in their own mental constructions.
- Most likely Jesus was a real historical man. He was an oddball Jew who joined an extremist cult of John The Baptist, and then took it over after John’s radicalism got him killed.
- Most likely he was a run-of-the-mill mystic, like many found around the world. He subscribed to a delusional form of mysticism that preached the End Times, the end of the world. He believed the end of the world would come in his lifetime and preached this to a small band of delusional followers. Needless to say, such a teaching radicalized the followers and made them behave in delusional and criminal ways.
- Jesus likely had superior spiritual genetics which gave him access to mystical states. But this is quite common, nothing particularly special about this. Thousands of people in every generation have this.
- Most likely there were no miracles or anything magical. Those stories were invented by his delusional and radicalized followers after his death.
- He was not born of a virgin, that is a silly translation error. The Hebrew word for “young woman” was translated into Greek as “virgin”.
- He was crucified by the Romans for causing political problems and vandalizing Jewish temples. Jesus was leading a doomsday cult that was politically radicalized and vandalizing Jewish orthodox temples in the area. To be fair, those temples were probably very corrupt and not very spiritual, just like the Catholic church is today.
- Of course there was no resurrection. He rotted on the cross just like all criminals did, picked apart by vultures.
- The cult he formed carried on after his death and his deluded followers invented myths and stories about him which spread across the region. Even if Jesus had some degree of consciousness of God, none of his followers did. Jesus was probably conscious of God to some mid degree. His followers were so unoriginal and uncreative that they didn’t even invent original stories, but heavily borrowed spiritual stories common in the Middle East at the time. They plagiarized stories from Egypt, Judaism, Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Rome.
- Was Jesus God? Yeah, but Hitler was God too, so who cares? Everyone is God. Rats are God and Christians are too stupid to understand that.
- Christianity has been a doomsday cult from day one. This cult’s ideology was then hijacked by politicians and elites because it was a handy mind-virus for controlling the masses and centralizing power as the Roman empire was collapsing. Christianity did not spread because it was true, but exactly the opposite, because it was false enough to serve political power. Real Truth does not spread and does not serve power.
- The Bible has always been a doomsday cult manual.
- And that’s all there is to Christianity. There in nothing special or unique about Christianity other than how toxic and corrupt it is.
- All of Christianity can be explained with conformity and epistemic pervertry alone. Every Christian who has ever lived has been an epistemic pervert.
- All of Christianity is just a perversion of Judaism. Judaism has the built in notion of a Messiah, which makes it easy for anyone to come along and claim to be the Messiah and splinter the religion, because half will agree and half will disagree. This is a fatal structural flaw in Judaism.
- These are just my best guesses. We’ll never know for sure so don’t waste too much time on it.
