The Difference Between Good & Bad

By Leo Gura - February 20, 2026

Good and bad are not the same thing.

Being good is harder than being bad. That’s why good and bad are not just relative and equal opposites. Survival is harder as a good person because you are limited in what you allow yourself to do. The good person denies himself many avenues that the bad does not. The good person does not allow himself to lie, cheat, steal, rape, manipulate, exploit, abuse, harm, hurt, kill, dominate, enslave. The bad person can say and do anything, which makes survival much easier. It is much easier to survive by leeching energy from others than not. The bad person can cheat, the good cannot. The bad person can be incoherent, the good cannot.

Good is not about behavior or following rules or norms. Good is about coherence. Bad is about incoherence. The good person cannot abuse others because he would be incoherent because he does not want to be abused himself. The bad person can abuse others because he doesn’t care about being incoherent in abusing others while he hates to be abused himself.

Good is coherence.

Coherence is not a social construction or a cultural invention. Whether your mind is coherent or incoherent is an existential matter. Which is why true spirituality transcends cultural norms. Being a good person is not a cultural norm. It is about your mind’s relationship to Truth. Which is why the first thing a bad mind does is deny the existence of Truth. If Truth doesn’t exist, the bad mind doesn’t need to worry about being incoherent.

The denial of Truth and the denial of God turn out to be the same thing. Those who deny Truth and those who deny God both become bad. Because God = Truth.

This is a technical explanation of ultimately why post-modernism is evil. Post-modernists are so lost in social construction that they forgot that Truth is real. Post-modernism is the social construction that Truth does not exist. Which is false.

Being good is difficult for a finite being because it requires alignment with Truth/God/Infinity. Good is the measure of how much the finite aligns with Infinity. Perfect alignment with Infinity is to be God — which is Good itself.

What does it mean to be Good? To act how God would act. How would God act? How would a perfectly selfless Mind act? God is the ultimate benchmark for what a mind can be. God is a Perfect Mind.
