Survival Zombies

Animals are amazing survival zombies:

So are most humans.

Everything a typical human does is just unconscious survival.

A beaver is amazing at survival, but it is not conscious of what it is doing or why it is doing it. It’s just doing it.

The whole point of spiritual development is to make your entire survival process into meta-cognitive consciousness.

What is the difference between a Christian and a beaver?

To me there is no difference.

Imagine getting a beaver to stop acting like a beaver. It would be as hard as getting a Christina to stop acting like a Christian. Why? Because it’s unconscious survival.

Genuine spirituality is about getting beavers to stop acting like beavers.

Now you can appreciate why it’s so challenging.
