Rationalist Self-Deception

This here is the perfect example of rationality as self-deception:

How can it be the case that God is the only thing that exists, and yet the more reputable of a scientist you are, the less you are able to recognize God? Clearly this means there is a profound error at the root of academia.
Sorry, sorry. I know. Picking on Neil DeGrasse Tyson is too easy, but he is the living embodiment of the problems with science. Unfortunately many scientists think exactly like him. And many non-scientists take this kind of thinking seriously.
No, scientists are not “questioning the state of the existing knowledge”. That’s a joke. Scientists are not even taught how to question knowledge.
“The higher degrees imply that you are questioning the very fabric of the knowledge you had previous learned.” No! Degrees don’t imply that at all. Higher degrees imply deeper and deeper professional conformity, group-think, and paradigm-lock. You can’t even earn a higher degree if you are truly questioning knowledge.
“Formal scientific training” is not the same thing as questioning the foundations of knowledge.
The shocking headline here is not that 7% of scientists are religious, but that 93% of scientists reject the only thing that exists: God. 93% of the world’s top scientists reject REALITY out of bigotry and conformity. Yes, that is rather shocking. More people should understand that.
Notice what Tyson’s entire argument is here: authority. All this is, is appeal to authority.
And don’t even get me started on the philosophers. They should be ashamed of themselves. At least scientists have the excuse of being practical. What is the philosophers’ excuse for not realizing God? Huh? What bullshit rationalizations are they gonna have?
“If you subtract the theological philosophers the number is essentially zero.” Well, how about you don’t subtract them?! Why are you subtracting stuff you shouldn’t be? Who told you that you could subtract theologians? Who told you that your statistics matter at all when it comes to the issue of Truth? Why is a scientist arguing based on how many people belief what? If 97% of scientists jump off a bridge, does that make it right?
“Let me just subtract this inconvenient little number that I don’t like.” How ironically typical of science.
Yes, if you subtract and willfully ignore the tiny minority on this planet who has direct consciousness of God, then you can make yourself feel like God doesn’t exist. Congratulations on the wonderful echo-chamber your mind has created.
