Here are two great documentaries about Osho’s cult in Oregon.

This is a great, detailed object lesson in Collective Ego. Taking spirituality/enlightenment “mainstream” is much trickier than it first seems. Because it always gets corrupted by ego, power, greed, sex, and politics. Being enlightened is NOT ENOUGH if you want to run a healthy spiritual community. A much deeper and wider set of skills is required, which Osho and his leaders did not have. Conscious leadership is a whole nother ballgame beyond personal enlightenment.
