No Ecological Awareness

Some people accuse me of being chauvinist towards under-developed countries and cultures when I say stuff like that 3rd world cultures do not have ecological awareness.

But here is an example that proves my point. This is how they deal with trash on trains in India.

Ecological awareness is a feature of higher consciousness and development. Primitive cultures at scale do not have it.

Caring about your trash is a mark of high development. Minds of low development do not think about where their trash ends up. When a bear shits in the woods, it doesn’t think to itself, “I wonder if this shit is bad for anyone else?”

“Does my trash hurt anyone else?”, is only a thought that arises in a selfless mind.

Conservatives are less ecological because they are more selfish. This is not an attack on conservatives. That’s just how development works. Conservatives deny and demonize climate change for deep, not superficial reasons. The reason is selfishness. Conservatives are not merely uneducated about climate change. They are too selfish to care about ecology. That’s why you can’t change their mind with facts and logic. No amount of facts and logic can change a person’s level of selfishness. Level of selfishness governs all human behavior, from politics to science to spirituality.

Once I know how selfish you are, I know everything I really need to know about you. Your level of selfishness allows me to predict your thoughts, reasoning, and behavior.
