Everyone's In Denial

By Leo Gura - July 16, 2026

Think about it, if life was a hallucination, you’d expect everyone to be in denial about it. Well? Isn’t that exactly what you see? If life was a hallucination, you should expect ego to want to kill you for revealing that. Ego will do  anything to stop from knowing that life is a hallucination. The function of the ego is to prevent that realization. That’s why ego exists! Ego has no other function. Ego is that which stops you from realizing that you are hallucinating. There cannot be any fair, objective, logical argument on this matter. The facts are irrelevant. The fact is that your mind will do everything it can to avoid realizing that everything it knows is a hallucination.

Just to prove this to yourself, as a test, tell a random person who knows nothing about this work that life is a hallucination. And just observe how his ego reacts. You will learn everything you need to know about epistemology just from observing his excuses and rationalizations. Go to Harvard, find the world’s top scientist, and tell him that science is a hallucination, and then just watch him squirm around.

You don’t need to believe me about anything here. Just interact with people and tell them they are hallucinating life. Watch how they respond. You are touching the touchiest nerve there is. You are going straight for the jugular.

There is not one person on Earth who can argue against life being a hallucination. Because, of course, it is. What else would life be?

What everyone denies is precisely what life is. Of course everyone is in denial of Truth. Humans are masters of denial.
