Light is the perfect analogy for Consciousness. Consciousness, like light, comes in infinite degrees.

Watch this guy light up a 20kw watt light bulb. That’s the best analogy for Awakening.

The average human has a consciousness level of 2kw. Awakening starts at about 3kw, and gets serious around 5kw. 10kw+ is when things get really interesting.

Don’t take this too literally. It’s a metaphor.

This gives you a good sense of how much you’re missing. Most spiritual people have no clue how much they’re missing, nevermind normies. Many people reach 3kw and think they’ve reached the end. Those are the neo-advaita and Western Buddhist types.

Very, very few humans know how high consciousness goes. You’re not gonna meditate your way to 10kw+ consciousness.

Awakening doesn’t just come in degrees, it also comes in different qualities and kinds. So even this analogy doesn’t do justice to the complexity of Awakening. Imagine that Consciousness comes in infinite degrees and infinite kinds. That gives you a better sense of the complexity of this work. All spiritual teachers grossly over-simply it, which is very misleading and confusing.
