Awakening Is Not A Different Place

The amazing thing about Awakening is, you can read 50 books on Awakening & God, you can study a bunch of Buddhism and nonduality, you can know all the theory, but when Awakening finally happens to you, it will feel totally different than anything you read and you will be in shock and disbelief. God is just completely beyond human imagination, even after reading spiritual books. God is like a new plane of Consciousness that you haven’t ever experienced before. This plane does not happen elsewhere, it happens right in your very room. It is like the entire room you’re in elevates to a higher plane. You don’t leave the room, the room elevates. Higher consciousness is not another universe, it is the elevation of your experience of our universe. Your current experience gets elevated without you traveling anywhere. God is not a different point in space-time, God is the elevation of wherever you are in space-time. If you are on the toilet, God will elevate your experience of sitting on the toilet. You will realize that the toilet is God. God is like cranking up your consciousness of the present moment, regardless of where you are.

God cannot be found by looking elsewhere, God is found by looking really deeply at the present moment. If you sit and stare without thinking at the present moment for 100 hours straight, chances are high you will see God. But if you try to chase God somewhere else, you will never see God. Anything that moves you away from consciousness of the present moment takes you away from God. God is literally just insane presence. Imagine being so present that your eyes bulge out of your head. Imagine being so present that you stop feeling you are human anymore. So the manual technique for realizing God is simply to sit, shut up, and be present as fuck for very long periods of time. That is the entire technique, but it’s really hard to do. If you can’t do that, then psychedelics.

When people talk about flying to astral dimensions, that is not Awakening. Awakening must be HERE and NOW. Always HERE and NOW.

The ego will say, “But how can God be HERE and NOW when I don’t see any God HERE and NOW?!!” The answer is: HERE and NOW look mundane to you right now because you are not present enough. If you spent 100 hours straight being present, HERE and NOW would start to look and feel very different than they do now. Presence changes how you perceive HERE and NOW, more than people imagine. I promise you that if you are present hard enough, long enough, you will eventually see God. But that will be a painful process. There is no way to make that process fun. It will not be fun, it will feel like mild torture. It will feel like you are dying of boredom. That’s not a mistake, keep going.

The entire point of meditation is to be so present that you stop being human. Literally. How many meditators can meditate so hard they stop being human? Very few. Meditation is literally nothing more than presence. And thought interrupts presence, which is why thought is bad in meditation. If your meditation is filled with a bunch of random thoughts, you are not being present so you will not realize God. For meditation to reveal God, your meditation needs to have very few thoughts. Your meditation needs to reach a point where it’s like you are brain-dead. Imagine being brain-dead for the next 100 hours, but 100% present. That’s true meditation.
