America Is Not A Democracy

It is time to retire the platitude that America is a democracy. The democracy in America is a myth, a self-deception. America is an oligarchy / corporatocracy. Money has completely perverted and undermined American democracy to the point where we need to call it what it is because continuing the myth obfuscates to the problem.

The #1 political goal for America should be to create a true democracy, which means truly one person, one vote, with no money or corporate power getting any extra influence. When stated this way, it is clear how far America is from true democracy and what steps are in the right and wrong direction.

Imagine as a political message, “Let’s create the world’s truest democracy!” That’s powerful. That’s what we are missing.

Billionaires and corporate douche-bags have betrayed American democracy to make stock price go up. That’s it! That’s what happened.

Anyone who dilutes democracy to increase stock price is a traitor. American corporations are filled with traitors. That’s why America is sick. They hollowed out democracy like termites.
