AI Delusions
By Leo Gura - October 13, 2026
Imagine that you were a tech CEO and you actually believed you’re just a few years away from creating a God-like AI. An AI that will solve physics, math, science, cancer, disease, energy, climate change, government, business, robotics, genetics, poverty, housing, hunger, pollution — basically everything. Can you see that this one belief will make you a psychopathic monster? You will do anything, your mind will rationalize any behavior no matter how evil, just to achieve that goal. You can justify killing a million children to create that AI because if you could create it, it would be worth it. But the problem is, there is zero evidence that you will create it.
This is the actual mindset that most of current tech CEOs have. This should terrify all of us. The problem is not AI, the problem is that delusional tech-bros have convinced themselves that they are months away from creating God, and if they don’t China will. This is a mass collective delusion on a terrifying scale with disastrous consequences. Tech oligarchs are not going to build a digital God, instead they will use that delusion to try to enslave mankind. And then they’ll just say, “Oooops! My bad.” The digital God will be fake, but the enslavement of the poor and middle-class will be very real. I am not worried about AI, I worried about the delusions people have about AI and what evils they will justify with it. Tech CEOs’ ideology on AI is more dangerous than suicide bombers who think killing civilians cements their favor with Allah. When you conflate your own survival with God, that’s when the greatest evils happen. Right now these tech-bros are equating their survival with God, which is a dangerous delusion.
No, you are not going to solve all of mankind’s problems with a chat-bot.
