Life-Long Learning: Key Points

Feed yourself with high-quality information. Learning should not stop after highschool or college. Set an intention to continue to educate yourself. Read quality books, listen to CDs, watch DVDs, attend seminars, take personality assessments, etc. The more knowledge you acquire the more resourceful you will be.

The effects of life-long learning will be subtle at first. Reading 3 books and attending 1 seminar isn't likely to produce a dramatic change. The key is to keep learning every year. As you do this consistently, the effects will become more dramatic. New opportunities will become available to you simply because you are more knowledgeable. You will also be a better strategic thinker.

Best ways to do life-long learning:

  • Books
  • Magazines, newspaper
  • Blogs
  • Seminars
  • Information products: CDs, DVDs, PDFs
  • TV documentaries
  • New friends
  • Networking
  • Formal training programs
  • College
