What is Exercise?

The idea that you need to exercise consistently to be happy.

Why is it Important?

If you don't exercise, you will not be able to high peak performance. You will feel weak and lethargic at best, and fat, tired, ugly, old, and diseased at worst. Without exercise you will be in a lot of pain eventually.

Exercise: Key Points

Must exercise so you have health, strength, energy, good appearance, and age well.

You will feel weak and lethargic without consistent exercise.

Do not exercise for looks, unless that is an extra motivation on top of the core motivation to be healthy and feel strong.

Exercise charges you up to be an action-taker. You are much more likely to start on the things that need doing if you build the discipline to get your ass in the gym. Not only do you build discipline, you build pain tolerance, and your body is energized when you get back home/office.

Studies show that exercise boosts mood. As effective as Zoloft at improving depression and the effects are longer-lasting. 2 The key is to find exercise that fits your personality and lifestyle. Expand your thinking about what exercise could be for you. There are so many options: sports, weightlifting, yoga, aerobics, swimming, exercise classes, hiking, being outdoors, yard work, home gym, etc.

A healthy body allows your mind to work better.

HIIT, cardio, and weight lifting are all great. Weightlifting is extra important because it maintains muscle strength and bone density as you age.
