Why does awakening resonate with some and not others?

In a Buddhist practice where you are uprooting the three poisons, awakening does lead to happiness.

The earthly wants and desires my friend are in the way

You have to want something beyond the physical world in the first place to be interested in these subjects

It is a matter of mental frequency. There are very intelligent guys who have zero spiritual inclination, for them it is a dimension that does not exist, they are comfortable in the mind, it is their place.  Are many people like that, their mind is sharp,  analyzes everything, they succeeds in what they set out to do, they understands the essence of people quickly, but if you talk to them about these things, they look at you as if you were crazy and you were telling him that you pass the nights looking out the window to see if you see aliens. On the other hand, there are guys who are less smart and open to this vibration. It is a matter of heart, of hot vibration.

It is something that normally opens up in a person if there has been suffering in their life, that suffering may simply be feeling disconnected, alone.

I believed in scientific materialism, until the day I took Bufo Alvarius.  When I came down, I instantly realized that scientific materialism is a limited point of view that trapped me in a small box.  The change was permanent.

One interesting thing is that when you look at people who are interested in exploring their true essence and question reality, they have spent some real quiet time with their suffering. Instead of running away from it, they have sat down with it and contemplated the nature of it.

The capacity of a person to confront one’s suffering, probably depends on many things; genes, life situation and environment being some to start with.

Man this is a good question I have no idea what it could be.

I have always been interested in truth since I ever become self conscious at 12 years old. This was literally one of my first thoughts after that moment, what is truth?

But I have always never fitted in, despite being a cool chill dude. In retrospective, I think this sharps attitude towards truth just wasn't shared by almost nobody. I have always asked why? Why isn't everybody fascinated by this? But now I just respect people and love them where they are at. Not everybody needs to awaken. But certainly is a doubt in my mind of why is this really the case?

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty. We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes virtuous and Conscious. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life God is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, ... Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

I like this a lot. But I wonder, some people find solace being around others. Like they really can’t live without them. Me, I’ve felt the desperation of loneliness, sought solace in others again and again, until the pain of being around others outweighed the pain of loneliness. Then I just had no choice but to be alone, or become a homicidal maniac (just kidding I could never) but that’s how much I hated being around people. But you’re right, the most joy I ever felt came directly after accepting suffering that seemed impossible to accept. The more suffering I accepted and stopped projecting and blaming others, the more joy I got, almost immediately after. Acceptance is such a mind fuck because it’s the easiest and most difficult thing to do. Now it seems it’s come full circle and I enjoy being around others because I know they can do nothing for me. You can’t truly love other people if you’re so busy worrying about what you think about them, how you feel about them, if they’re being nice or mean. Real love is watching them as they are and understanding why they’re inclined to behave the way they do.  This will not happen if there is a “self”, or what I understood, a “receiver” of information that is watching and interpreting others actions. The “self” is the only problem.

Yeah, it’s amazing how much more enjoyable relationships can be when you can approach them more consciously. But sometimes it’s hard, especially if you are constantly forced to be social e.g. in your job.

Generally speaking, the more corrupt the company, the less conscious the communication will be. There are, of course, a few people who break that rule.

Definitely! Although those moments tend to be rare. People are so often occupied with different survival shit that they are totally stuck on their heads and unable to surrender to the moment.
