mastering nutrition

i think the reason behind bad eating isn't a lack of self control, but simply a lack of mastery. Most people simply don't have enough information or experience when it comes to nutrition. what do yall think about that? like most people haven't read a lot of books, or watched a bunch of documentaries, and listened to many experts on nutrition and then tried to master their nutrition.

Most people do not make the connection between the food they consume and the quality of their life experience.

At age 15, I was in a sense, fortunate enough to have had to contend with the consequences of a rare disease called eosinophilic esophagitis which made me so inflamed that I found it difficult to swallow food, often times leading to hour long impaction episodes.

I quickly learned the importance of food quality, and to this day, I would submit that nutrition optimization is the first step anyone should take if serious about personal development. The only other high leverage maneuver that can rival the impact of a truly dialed in diet is sleep optimization, and perhaps meditation, but there is a much greater latency to the payoff.
