Does Consciousness Divide Itself?

@Deep Of course we don't choose the beliefs, we don't choose anything at all. That doesn't mean, that you shouldn't remove limiting beliefs that keep you from getting to the truth. If you strongly believe in a god(a separate entity such as in Abrahamic religions), you will have a VERY hard time getting enlightened, I would say it's almost impossible. Same applies to a hard core dogmatic atheist.

If you want to get to the truth, you HAVE to drop and examine all of your beliefs. Critical thinking and open-mindedness are CRUCIAL here. You have to be very humble, and be open to the idea that you were wrong your entire life. You then need to empirically test and experience things directly, without taking anything on just blind faith. Now you see, why there are so few that become enlightened.

I agree with your points. It's possible to become enlightened even if one believes in a separate God. If their love for God is genuine, eventually the separation between them and God disappears. That's called Bhakti yoga in Hinduism. Abrahamic religions believe they're sinners, so it's more difficult. I haven't studied Buddhism in depth, so I don't know much about it.

Many of the beliefs would automatically drop of after enlightenment. The beliefs are present because we are identified with the body. I said we have to embrace the mind because we can't think our way into enlightenment. When trying to become enlightened we are going upstream because God is pretending to be us.

@unknownworld Most people mistakenly think relative truths are Absolute Truth.  After contemplating for awhile, I think reincarnation might be true. I just have this gut level feeling but I can't grasp it with my mind. I also can't describe it with words. I think one has to be fully enlightened to understand it.

@unknownworld Read the Law of one, at least the first book (I havent read any of the sequels to be completely honest yet). It explains with perfect sense how conceptualy infinity divides itself.
You see, you are infinity, and you are a soul at the same time. Just as you are you, and you are everyone else as well.

@unknownworld Do you realize that asking me for MY direct experience is exactly the same as reading it in a book?

@Deep There is a difference between reincarnation(Hinduism) and rebirth(Buddhism). By reincarnation, are you referring to what they teach in Hinduism with existence of individual soul? Or are you referring to something else?

Can you share your experience as to how you arrived at this conclusion?

Also, have you ever experienced the absolute infinity (such as what LEO talks about with 5-MEO)?

If I'm consciousness and consciousness is infinite, with bodily death consciousness wouldn't die would it? I can occupy a different body afterwards and the consciousness in other people's body would remain there. If I'm consciousness and other people are consciousness they are me and I am them. They are just in a different body. Someone who lived in the past could also be "me". Not the ego me but the consciousness me. I realized "Deep" is an imaginary identity. I'm not "Deep", I'm just using Deep's body/mind as a vehicle. I also realized I never experienced death, so death is just a concept.

No, I've never experienced infinity but I'm guessing natural enlightenment is different from psychedelic induced enlightenment. It's also possible that there are higher states of consciousness than 5-meo-dmt.

@unknownworld

1. One giang slap over your condescending face.

I have experienced my true nature, intuitited who am I and why Im here and intuited infinity (since very young age) which btw is not something you have or can experience. Not even Leo. What 5meo gives you is not the absolute. At the level of the absolute consciousness ceases to exist and those who dont realize it are maklng a cute naive mistake.

2. Second giant slap over your arrogant cheeks

When I tell you to read a book it is from kindness of my heart to break down your silly game-personna that doesnt serve anyone, least of all you.

Not so you can school me like a child who misbehaved in your precious self-important perception.

@unknownworld again trying to school me like a child.

Oh man haha.

I wish there was anything I could do besides provoking you even more.

Wake up Id shout if we were face to face, your thoughts blind you.

You will have to face the pain one day or another. The sooner you do it, the less will life have to throw you around. So it is only up to your own stubborness.

Best of luck.
