Posted January 20, 2024 I don't know 'bout you guys, but for me one of the hallmarks of so-called awakening is that you take yourself as a person less and less seriously. Well, I am sure that most of you know about my funny streak by now (it's not exactly like I am coy about it ); sure enough, I always had a strong tendency towards self- irony... but man, ever since I've been engaged in this whole self transcendence business, I find myself more and more often laughing my freaking butt off at all the ridiculous crap going "through my head" (it's just a figure of speech, so don't get your knickers in a twist, you hard-boiled nondual speech police officers out there), thinking "jeez, WHO the f*** comes up with sh!t like that?!" Posted January 20, 2024 I used to laugh at it more, now I'm more like ignoring it. It's like I was the child and it was the adult; now it's slowly but surely starting to listen to me. I'm aware it's all just apparent but the illusion is slowly dissipitating(sic). (Sic is where you're not sure of a spelling). There's still some remnants left and probably always will be, but it sure as heck doesn't have that strong hold it used to. Awareness is key. It wasn't coming up on my auto spell and I wasn't sure if it was spelt correctly or even grammatically correct. I sometimes get anal about this shit because of my background in secretary work and my mind sometimes won't allow for too many writing errors. It bugs me sometimes, but hey, it's a good bug. Posted January 20, 2024 I've been trying to laugh at myself more lately I was high from weed and put my pants inside out. I noticed a couple hours afterwards and I decided to laugh at myself in that situation. It felt really nice. Not taking yourself seriously gives you freedom God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible. There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty. We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty. There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Virtuous and Conscious. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady.
