Having kids feels risky…opinions?

I contemplated on if I do want kids or not, and if I had to boil it down it’d be ”having kids feels risky.”

Is that a mindset of someone that should have kids?

Side note, I did smoke some marijuana before I contemplated so I’m sure that affected my mindset, maybe slightly more paranoid. 

But just curious if anyone has thoughts on that because I’ve been undecided for forever! Mostly out of fear it seems!

You taking consideration makes you sound more qualified than most parents. Kid's seem easy to me, just live well within your means, it really doesn't matter if you can't buy them nice things or have nice things. All you need to do is have a stable home and be supportive and loving.
