STOP Allowing your Attention to be HIJACKED - Fix your Technology 📱 Mega-THREAD

@mmKay I do completely agree from my perspective. Technology is for the most part a burden on my connection with the divine however it is a good resource for new knowledge and perspectives like Actualized. It’s using it for the right reasons as you say

It’s more likely to be a burden and hindrance if you are more right side brain like me. If you are very logical and rational you will likely feel more at home with technology

I’ve noticed a lot of autistic people work in the technology field. Like Elon musk is right at home in that space

@mmKayIt's not that hard to download. Takes around 5 mins. There are many videos on YouTube where you can see how.

If you want technology to suit your growth, you must get used to stuff like this. If you shy away from simple download procedures like these, you're limiting your technology use to easily downloadable services. There's a lot of good stuff out there if you're willing to put in the effort.

Technology is giga-hyper-stimulating as it is. Make it a habit to use black-and-white mode on both your smartphone and PC (Android has this built-in--look it up).

I've been using it for about a week, and the difference is truly noticeable. Captivating colors are one of the main ways technology hijacks your attention. Going grayscale turbocharges your focus, especially if you spend a lot of time surfing the web or using social media for work. It’s like a spacesuit for your attention span. (It takes a moment to get used to--expect some withdrawal symptoms from fewer dopamine spikes.)

---

Control + Windows + C is the default command to enable black-and-white mode on Windows (you may need to enable the shortcut first).

To Enable Grayscale Mode Quickly on Windows:

Ensure the shortcut Ctrl + Windows + C is enabled. Here’s the fastest way:

Open Settings:

Press Windows + I to open the Settings app.

Navigate to Color Filters:

Go to Ease of Access → Color Filters.

Enable the Shortcut:

Turn on the toggle for "Allow the shortcut key to toggle filter on or off" (located under the color filter options).

Activate Grayscale Mode:

Use Ctrl + Windows + C to toggle grayscale mode on or off instantly.

---

To Enable Grayscale Mode Quickly on Mac:

Open System Settings:

Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner and select System Settings (or System Preferences on older versions).

Go to Accessibility:

Navigate to Accessibility → Display (under the Vision section).

Enable Grayscale Mode:

Turn on "Color Filters", then select Grayscale from the filter options.

Optional: Keyboard Shortcut for Grayscale Mode:

macOS doesn’t have a default shortcut, but you can create one:

Go to System Settings → Keyboard → Shortcuts → Accessibility.

Add a custom shortcut for toggling Color Filters.

Once configured, toggling grayscale mode becomes as seamless as pressing a shortcut! 😊

Let me know how you like it!
