It's easier to quit porn when you realize a few simple facts. 

1. The energy of sex has to go somewhere. If it doesn't go to a partner,then it goes to another being. If you could see that being, you'd be horrified. Ever felt icky, sticky afterwards? It's because of who you were with. There is someone in the room with you. They are waiting for the energy-fix. I went into detail about this in my book "Clearing Entities". Nex time you do porn, expand your awareness and feel the space in the room around you. 

2. The context of porn-production. Almost nobody wakes up and says "I want a career in porn". Who are these people on the screen you are spending time with? Are they happy people or exploited ones? What happens to a person's electromagnetic field when they mix with a lot of people-they-dont-like? Why do so many porn stars look washed-up and used-up later in life? Once you realize WHO you are dealing with, you feel compassion - and compassion can be a turn-off to masturbation. 

3. Your guilt about porn is not helpful. Guilt assumes you're going to keep doing it. And then you do. So if you're going to keep doing it, you might as well enjoy it. There is nothing wrong with being sexual and having sexual desires. Sexual energy is a creative force, a force of life, of manifestation. The porn-industry diverts this energy so that you waste it on them. Doing porn can make you too complacent to look for a partner. Finding a real partner requires effort - it helps you grow as a human. Porn requires no effort and therefore it provides no growth. Like a drug, it provides temporary relief without responsibility, intimacy, building your conversational skills, humor, etc. 

Also know that addiction to ANYTHING puts a hold on your ascension of the scale of consciousness. 

SEEING these three things...really KNOWING them from your own experience, will stop or significantly reduce your porn use. And if you don't see them? Then age will reduce it.

I have stopped the need for masterbating excessively tp pornography and the way I did it was to masterbate excessively to everything pornographic. People demonize the pornography they watch and it leads to addiction. The way I did was watch all the pornography I demonized in the past and nutted to it and then after instead of telling myself I'm disgusting I tell myself I love myself. Think about every dirty thing you have ever demonized yourself for. Your mother your sister your father think about fucking all of them and when post nut clarity comes don't say I'm disgusting say I am beautiful and I enjoyed that.

Masterbation is demonized hard in the west and this can lead to a backlog of disgusting feelings you create in your mind that need to be undone. Once you undo them there is no need to watch pornography. You wont even think about it because you have no identity with it.

@Hojo That’s a slippery slope to quitting an addiction but I see your point. 
 

Regarding this post. The guys reasoning is fucking wack. But also porn is damaging to your psyche , masculinity , and spirit.

@BlessedLion yes but it worked for me I hit prob 15 days without jerking off last month and it wasn't hard. A year ago I was masterbating 7 times a day and couldn't stop. I'm not counting the days that abstain as I think thats a trick but I have been abstaining more than I ever have with this method. Its not a goal for me but something I'm just gradually doing.

I used to have extreme death anxiety and the only way I could fall asleep at night for probably 20 years was to think about fucking anything I could. I would use my imagination and sex as sort of a pillow before I go to sleep to stop me from thinking about non existence and scaring myself. I have a dirty mind because of it and I am just working on that rn.

But on the bright side I now have a very vivid and realistic imagination as I was unconsciously honing it with sex thought that whole time. I think i was doing sex meditation without knowing.

It's a simple issue: are you better off with or without the porn habit?

If you don't know the answer to that question, try an experiment: I will quit for 6 months, and then I will start using it again.

Then at the end of six months see what you've discovered.  Otherwise you're going to bullshit-cope, rationalize, speculate, etc.

Just try the experiment, fully secure in the knowledge that it's not forever.
