Is Life Just a Collection Of Senseless Suffering?

19 posts in this topic

The last couple of years, i have been going through Hell. Many people on this forum still don't realize how many degrees of misery, suffering and pain exist. It's terrifying.

Things now are better for me. But i feel somewhat, like i've been to a war , seen some brutal mind-boggling stuff and now i am a different person. I am not traumatized, per say. But i just see through the BS of people and i am way less tolerant of it.

Everyday when i watch the news , i see people going through Hell worse than mine. It all seems senseless sometimes. I just don't get it.

Sometimes i go through the thought experiment.. of a person living through the worst hell possible.. Let's say a prisoner in the middle ages who dies the worst possible death in a sh*tty cell. Why?? What's the point of going through such a sh*tty existence?

It makes sense to experience suffering in order to appreciate the happiness and joy.. but in some cases it just seems that this logic doesn't even hold true. I am not sure though.

Also, all these idiots who commit all this stupid devilry have n o c h o i c e since there is no free will. And this is something that i have realized deeply. You have no choice whether you become a saint or a Ted Bundy.

All this suffering just doesn't make sense to me sometimes. I understand that some degree of suffering is necessary but.. i think it becomes t o o  m u c h in many cases.

God is so "intelligent" that he'll go through all the most brutal, pointless and senseless scenarios beyond human imagination. For no reason. For nothing. That's how "magnificent" existence is. I can't think of anything worse.

But then again, I'm blessed because I'm just a comment on the forum but you who has to go through all of it, I can't think of a more dreadful and pitiful existence. Good luck.

Certain mystics like maybe Bashar or Abraham Hicks would say all these people knowingly "chose" this incarnation and this adventure. They volunteered for the torture as their higher self in some other dimension. This is an interesting perspective which can alleviate a lot of your sadness and empathy.

But also, the outer world reflects your inner world or is even a manifestation of your inner world.

Also, you are choosing to focus on the misery. Stop your monkey mind and focus on the good. Be the good. Be the change. You are mentally masturbating yourself looking at the misery. You are boasting about your perception and intelligence and empathy. You are self serving. All is illusion as in the Hindu concept of Maya. You are avoiding your real work. Find yourself. Be yourself. Follow your passions.

It is all the yin yang symbol. The black and white fishes going around. You are currently choosing to focus on the misery fish. It is all dualism and balanced. Appreciate the balance. :)

@SQAADGet well soon man.

It appears that the world has gradients of pain and pleasure. If we were at max pleasure all the time there could be no life.

It would be logically impossible to have life without pain. For example, if there was no risk of your kids getting hurt in any way, parenting wouldn't exist.

My point is not that suffering should not exist. My point is that there are some life situations where the suffering is so great and seems to serve no purpose whatsoever.

What if you were a prisoner of war, living through the worst possible hell for years? What if you were captured, and tortured in the wost possible way by some Mexican drug cartel?

What if you were in severe chronic pain for years? Pain that doesn't go away.

How would you feel then about life and existence?

There are some life situations where all this theory flies out of the window.

I don't care how awake you think you are. If i put you in a hellish enough situation with no escape , you will probably end your life. And that's just the reality.

Yes. Life is a pointless stage drama.

When you say that its pointless, can you please explain why is this the case? How life would be , if it wasn't pointless?

Everyday when i watch the news

there's your problem

quit that news and watch the nows

do you see carnage in that tree outside your window where a  blue tit is feathering its nest for its soon to be delivered family

the news has a mission to keep you in misery which will keep you from facing the reason you came to this world

it is compelling and wrenching and monstrous

it will keep you in this mire for lifetimes

Reality is constant evolution, it is an inevitable cycle, and negative pressure drives evolution. This does not mean that if tomorrow I am sentenced to life imprisonment in the Congo I will say: oh wow, evolution is like that. I will go through the hell and despair that corresponds to the situation.

But it is important not to take human life as a funny experience that should be perfect and wonderful, this leads to great frustration because it is not. It's like being sent to the trenches of the First World War and you complain that it's uncomfortable. Yes, we already know that it is a big piece of shit, so let's try to enjoy the beauty and greatness of the situation, that there is always that, there is always yang within the yin, it is the most practical attitude, and maybe some day you realize with surprise that you are happy most of time

I apologize if I was a little abrasive. But I honestly believe there are no "life situations" where my theories fly out the window. Just do a thought experiment and apply my theories to every situation. What would happen? Or tell me some specifics where my theories do not work.

Even if you put me in a hellish "situation with no escape" and I killed myself, I accept that. You are probably correct about my suicide but it would still be the yin yang symbol and the two fishes going around and you are focusing on the sad fish and not the happy fish.

If we manifest our reality by our vibrations or frequency, then change your frequency and create goodness in your section of the world. Your contemplating the misery amplifies the bad vibrations.

If possible, re-read my original reply above and give me the benefit of the doubt. Have an open mind about my reply. Thanks. :)

Do you realize that if you got this knowledge from a deep experience, someone else could have had a deeper experience where they saw the opposite AKA free will?

Do you realize that if you saw it on psychedelics, now you would have to accept that if a group of people who come up with ideas while drunk and think those ideas are perfect, that now those are ideas that you would have to accept?

@SQAAD The only thing people cant accept is this - the suffering is cause by your past lives karma. You need to experience this insight (its very hard to get this) and you will understand why your life is the way it is. Take ownership of your karma. It's there for a reason. Karmic rules are a real thing. God was smart about it when "programing" the universe.

If you can't accept these words then I have nothing else to say here.

@SQAAD

I recommend you the book "Tempests of Steel" by Junger, who later won the Nobel Prize in Literature for his carrier. He wrote it when he was 25 years old, his experience in the First World War, he was wounded 9 times, one of them a bullet pierced his skull. The guy was happy in the war, he was in the battle of the Somme, which is surely the ultimate in human horror. His perspective is very interesting, he saw poetry in everywhere.

Btw, junger, in his old age, used many psychedelics. He died at 103 or something like that.

My best friend, who I haven’t spoken to in a while, just texted me. I then opened up to her about all the major life changes I’m making lately! I told her that I could not have done it without her inspiration. She replied to me with this:

It’s truly amazing how context makes all the difference. Suffering is not the end. See through the illusion of who you perceive is awake and not awake. Who is suffering and not suffering.
