How to quiet the mind?

I'm not saying it can't be achieved just saying it's already here. To recognize something is still achieving that recognition - so to speak.

They say so, buy as I see, when there is anxiety, there is anxiety and you could think that under that anxiety there is enlightenment, but that's not going to make any difference, the reality is going to be anxiety.

It's crazy that human life is like that, but I would say that's because of the human condition, which is something very strange. We are the servants of the incorporeal, or multicorporeal, entity called ego. This entity is the one who matters, it is alive and it is intelligent. It requires you to take a few steps, carry out a task. There are no shortcuts, as the condescending guy sadhguru says, saying that you have to sit and do nothing. You can never defeat your master, or parasite, or symbiont, the collective ego, with force. You have to bend to it, dance with it, understand it, love it, honor it, and tame it, same time that you are tamed by it

quiet mind is oxymoron, mind does what it wants to do and you have no say in the matter

have not a lick of interest in it and it gets the message and stops bugging you

thought is the instrument for maintaining the edifice of me; see each one arise and say thank you but no thank you

now mind becomes useful for the first time, it has shed all the rubbish it accumulated

My question wasn't really meant to be literal as in wanting to know how to get enlightened. You said "reach enlightenment". There's nothing to reach for only to be recognized because enlightenment isn't somewhere out there it's already present.

Lol, so you literally disagree with Sadghuru, Ramana Maharshi and Jesus.

What level of arrogance should one operate at to think he knows how to get enlightened better than them.

It is miioiiiind bloooowing that people feel so wise.

"Whoever has come to understand the world has found merely a corpse, and whoever has found a corpse, of that one the world is no longer worthy." - Jesus

You're misunderstanding me. I listen watch and subscribe to all those guys. My statement to you was not arrogance and me saying that isn't me thinking I'm more wise. I follow and love Ramana's teachings. You are thinking I'm saying there's no process in getting enlightened but what I'm saying is enlightenment is not something to reach its a recognition that's why God Realization is a thing even though that's still not enlightenment. But I'll put this down for now as I can sew that I'm being misunderstood and have no desire or been to explain mysel. Thanks for the acknowledgement of my post, though, and I'll let it rest. Arrogance is far from my repertoire.

Sadghuru is very far from Ramana Maharshi and Jesus. as far as a narcissist can be from jesus

If thoughts are too loud and messy, there is usually an intense emotion underneath.

An emotion that is either not being acknowledged, or is being resisted.

Thoughts are not the problem. Usually it really just comes down to gathering some courage and facing how we really feel.

Once the emotion is through, because it must be through... there is usually clarity, space, peace. The mind gets real quite and steady. Because now nothing is trying desperately to grab it's attention. No emotional weight.
