I'll start, I'm currently sipping on the "kraus organic maté gourmet" out of a palo santo gourd. Unsmoked, super smooth, not very bitter at all. One of the few unsmoked yerba's I've tried. Still a good potency.

Let me know what your drinking and what you recommend!

I don't think this subject is popular enough for its own thread. Most people don't even know what Yerba mate is, yet alone tried it.

Mate is quite popular here

but more cold as soft drink (with less sugar)

there are so many different brands

@Princess Arabia It's been becoming very travelled recently, with more and more people finding out about it. Its the national drink of south america, I'm sure there's more than a few people in here that drink it.

There's a tonne of health benefits from it as well that people might be interested in.

Majority of mate is smoked that's probably why.

Didn't know you could smoke it. Is it like an Yerba mate cig. Or you roll it yourself or can you buy it. I currently smoke American Spirits, which is an all natural cig, but it's still pure tobacco, which is still toxic in minute portions to humans. The "normal" cigs are mostly filled with other toxic substances like ammonia and rat poison along with like 500 other chemicals.

no haha, I mean they smoke the leaves over fire to dry them out and create flavour for when you drink it, very few yerbas are dried without smoke.

filling up a gourd and sipping for a few hours with a good cigar I meant

Generally you can’t buy the coca leaves here either think it‘s only the flavour of coca leaves
