You can use tools like Anki. There are different methods. Use whatever works for you.

3. Practice

In many exams it is all about speed. This is why you need practice.

Do the mock exams or find other quality questions that align with the ones asked in the exam best.

This is subjective.

What works for me is to form an abstract process in my mind of the thing I'm studying. Say it's a psychology exam. I'd think of a person and how a given state or condition will affect them. it helps me understand it in a practical sense and how the theory of the subject applies and functions.
