Movies To Watch On Psychedelics

10 posts in this topic

Hey, guys

I’m sharing a few films I’d watch while tripping. Here’s a list of all the films I’d recommend.

1. Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas

2. The Big Lebowski

3. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse

4. Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse

5. Dr. Strange

6. Midsommar

Feel free to add more down below. I’m open to suggestions!

"The awakening of consciousness is the next evolutionary step for mankind." - Eckhart Tolle

"Consciousness itself is an infinite regress. This explains coincidences." - Robert Anton Wilson

"There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that's your own self." - Aldous Huxley

One of the best: Annihilation

On netflix my absolute favorite (no horror, more Zen like/deep/beautiful and godlike) :

Kantaro: The Sweet Tooth Salaryman

Midsommar? That would probably be the last movie I'd watch while tripping, lol.

Not that I would watch any other movie during a psychedelic trip. These substances and the shifts of consciousness that they generate are much too precious and delicate to waste them on stupid shit like watching a film while tripping on them.

True! Watching films can be a great waste of time while tripping. But let’s face the fact that the majority of people who use Psychedelics do it for recreational purposes and one of the ways you can have fun while tripping is by watching movies. At least, from my perspective!

And as for Midsommar, I included it because it depicts perhaps one of the most accurate psilocybin trips in all of cinema thus far. But there are other films I’d watch over it (not to mention it’s horror film) during a trip like the ones above.

That being said, I think tripping recreationally has its perks! While awakening should be the most important thing not everything has to be about it. I find that to narrow-minded. Sometimes it’s nice to just bask in the pleasures that the psychedelic experience brings.

Well, if you absolutely have to watch a movie while tripping, then at least watch a visually truly imginative work of art on which you can feast your eyes (and which is not disturbing & depressing as fuck, lol).

Like this, for example:

Or how about my favorite LSD inspired flick of all time:

I’ll check it out!!! Thanks for the recommendation. Any type of animation would probably look outstanding, I would imagine! My favorite thing to do if I’m tripping recreationally is listen to music, actually, but I enjoy watching films, as well. And I try to put on content that has to do with Psychedelics for the most part like Pink Floyd or Rick and Morty (the creators of the show did LSD I believe), for example.
