Is PCP "Angel Dust" dangerous?

16 posts in this topic

I've been reading content regarding the Dissociative anesthetic Phencyclidine also known as PCP, lately. It has a lot in common with compounds like Ketamine & DXM, both being in the Dissociative Class of Hallucinogens. I have no interest in doing it because truth be told I'm quite scared. I've heard a lot of horror stories revolving around this substance and how some people do the most horrendous things. But then I come across people on Reddit stating the experience on PCP can be quite pleasant.

Does anyone have any thoughts regarding this compound?

Sounds pretty dangerous. I don’t know much about it but that’s probably why we don’t talk about it that much.

Thank You! Yeah, I thought that much regarding it. I came across a few comments on Reddit stating the opposite but after hearing all the horror stories around this substance I will never in my life go near it.

I don't know about PCP, but Ketamine is like what you would expect from some opiates, but more moderate and with far fewer side effects when coming down. (no vomiting or stuff like that...)

It all boils down to the mania and delusions of grandeur that pcp and derivatives of pcp provide. If you moderate doses and don't do it regularly is a chill substance. I've done 3-meo-pcp and is profound and fun. But do too much and you might end up in a bad place.

The most dangerous effect is that it makes you feel like an invencible super intelligent God. So you start thinking doing it every day might be a good idea, that's when things can start to go south.

3-meo-pcp made me feel like a social god, is one of the best functional substances out there, If it weren't for the more you do it the less functional and more dumb it makes you lol

When I was on ketamine I was talking to my best friend on Discord and I really came across as being very kind/reassuring and the most outgoing man.
But when I reread it the next day (so sober), I realized that I actually looked unpleasant and drunk.

Yes, exactly. A perfect statement to sum up the experience when everything comes crashing down. I heard it can cause the user to feel little to no pain due to its anesthetic properties. Along with feeling no pain comes the delusion of invincibility like you said.

One of the most horrific stories revolving around PCP was about this man who was so detached from ordinary reality that he removed his face and fed it to dogs. It was easy for him to cut his face off cause of the no pain factor involved. I came across a video of it on the Psychedelic Channel “Tales From The Trip” whom I recommend if you don’t know him. His videos are awesome!!!

That being said, I’m not going to post a link to the story because it’s to gory. I don’t think the substance is all bad considering many people have had positive experiences and I think it’s used for medical purposes in some cases. But I wouldn’t experiment with it because it seems too risky.

Yes, is true also that physically there is a significant anaesthesia effect. But the feeling of invincibility also comes a lot from a feeling of psychological grandiosity. Like no emotion or thought can't hurt you. 100 people could critique you at the same time and being in pcp you would still think they are wrong/assholes and you are are the one who is right.

I forgot to mention the psychedelic properties. I´ve had some solipsistic and beyond weird psychedelic and pseudo mystical headspaces on that chem too...all of that while not being at all fucked up, meaning I wasn't seeing visuals or tripping or impaired...just subtle maniac-psychotic-mystical thoughts that revolve around in the mind.

I can imagine someone with schizophrenia or similar illnesses struggle with something like that. One can handle those thoughts for 6-7 hours, but if you lived with that 24/7 those mystical psychotic thoughts end up being 100% your reality.

I have used it a lot lately. It is not dangerous per say but overusing it can generate mania or schizophrenia in some people.

I have combined it with psychedelics. It makes the experience more profound but it generates lots of delusions. It makes generating insights during the trip very hard. In some way it numbs down the mind, but creates very weird experiences. for example,I was talking to my fan at the end of one trip and it was explaining to me how reality works, lol, and this is not that weird compared to other experiences I had lately.

In fact, I was going to make a trip report about combining LSD and 3-meo-pce but the experience was so weird that I don't know how to explain it.

That’s precisely why I wouldn’t use it but that’s just me. If the user is following safety protocols they should be fine. Most of the horror stories are from people who were abusing Angel Dust and doing the most mundane things such as taking it out in public and whatnot.

I’ve never been too interested in Dissociatives, to be honest. I have experimented with DXM in the past, briefly, but that’s about it. I personally find more value and beauty in Psychedelics. Nothing beats Psychedelics in my book!!!

I was wondering if the feeling of potency from amphetamines/stimulants in general was similar, less or greater than PCP.

How was it? It is supposed to be a functional stimulant right?

Did you try 4 fma?
