This Forum doesn’t feel healthy to me

53 posts in this topic

If this forum truly feels healthy holistic and beneficial to you then so be it.

But to me it feels like an avoidance of personal responsibility. The endless debates and conversations regarding hypotheticals are not as developmentally significant as the shit hitting the fan.

The shit hits the fan when you get off the computer and go talk to strangers or walk into the woods at night or do some drug ur scared of doing because it may drive you mad and in that madness you may find your brave heart.

I understand that this criticism is ultimately a projection because all things are.

But I possess an adequate intuition, therefore this post may be useful for some.

You are right. Some have unrealistic expectations of this forum and the users, and I think it can't be better than this.

Yes the forum seems very buggy.

Like it doesn't refresh to the latest page unlike you use Google Chrome. Not sure why. Someone can shed some light?

^^^^ It's not even that, forget all that, what you and many people don't understand is whenever you complain you are indirectly communicating with yourself.

Notice the key things you said. You said it feels like an avoidance of personal responsibility? Why would it feel that way? Because this is how you currently feel in YOUR LIFE. The endless debates and conversations regarding hypotheticals are not as significant as shit hitting the fan.

^^^^ So from this we can ascertain that you feel like you are wasting too much time on the forums and are using it as an escape from real life. You mentioned something about doing some drug you are scared to do, afraid of madness, and using it as a way to prove you are brave...not sure about that one.

But basically what you wrote above is an INDIRECT MESSAGE TO YOUR INDIVIDUAL SELF, that you are sharing with potential others who may resonate with this feeling. This means you currently feel like you are in a rut and are trying to figure out how to get out of it and a part of you feels like taking a break from the forums might be the answer.

What do you think? Am I close?

You are a selfless LACK OF APPEARANCE, that CONSTRUCTS AN APPEARANCE. But that appearance can disappear and reappear and we call that change, we call it time, we call it space, we call it distance, we call distinctness, we call it other. But notice...this appearance, is a SELF. A SELF IS A CONSTRUCTION!!!

So if you want to know the TRUTH OF THE CONSTRUCTION. Just deconstruct the construction!!!! No point in playing these mind games!!! No point in creating needless complexity!!! The truth of what you are is a BLANK!!!! A selfless awareness....then that means there is NO OTHER, and everything you have ever perceived was JUST AN APPEARANCE, A MIRAGE, AN ILLUSION, IMAGINARY.

Everything that appears....appears out of a lack of appearance/void/no-thing, non-sense (can't be sensed because there is nothing to sense). That is what you are, and what arises...is made of that. So nonexistence, arises/creates existence. And thus everything is solved.

People nowadays are often too preoccupied with abstract concepts. In my own experience, I started following Leo's content when I was 18 and became obsessed with abstract ideas such as enlightenment.

However, looking back, I realize that at that age, it's crucial to gain as much experience as possible and try out different things. While spirituality is an essential aspect of life, it should be devoted to after a person matures and wants to elevate his life to a higher level. (PS; watch Burning Through Karma - How To Exhaust Material Desires)

I currently reside in a third-world country where people are much more social, and despite the poverty, misery, corruption, and crime, hardly anyone is depressed. It would be beneficial for those who feel depressed to travel and explore other cultures, experiencing different ways of life. Sometimes, taking a step out of your own perspective can help put things into perspective and provide a new outlook on life.

Instead of getting lost in your thoughts, try getting some "real" experience and seeing the world from a different angle.

It's an activity like any other, would you go to a bowling club and explain to the players that it's a waste of time and "an avoidance of responsibility"? lol.

You're just taking advantage of the fact that posting here is a digital activity and more marginal than average to be dismissive and inflate your ego.

You just did the same with that post you made.

It’s true, my response is motivated by my denied/unconscious self-recognition in the mirror. :P

I can only recognize and speak to myself, whether regardless of the underlying energy.

edit : But it doesn’t change anything to the veracity of what I said.

You are forgetting that having the right theory is critical. Yes, doing the practice is the most essential thing for many people and some of them are not doing it. But for others gathering theory and fixing their pre-existing theory is most essential.

I bet this forum was created just to lead folks to the realization of the limits of their thinking and human language. 'Getting like-minded people together' was just a bait for the stupid human mind :)

It's the side effect or even the purpose of every kind of group. People get attached to the idea of the value that the group promises to provide, but either it fails, the users fail, or both at the same time. And this is just a surface-level problem.

This forum thread is like a rollercoaster ride, but instead of a fun thrill, it was a descent into chaos.

It can be beneficial to some and not beneficial to the rest, but you can be here for entertainment instead of enlightenment as well. Both are 13 letter words and have a hell lot of letters in common. But if you are here for very 'serious' stuff, you may not get what you expected. A psychologist or a meditation session may be the right place for those things.

Socialization is proved to make people happy and it always needn't be real life interactions. ( Although it isn't an alternative either).
