The Philosophy of Putin

Putin is much more sane and grounded than the western media wants to give credit to.

His only biases are that he is too delusional about the Russian state being a global super power enough to counter US while having an economy lesser than that of Texas. Even that is entirely due to the natural gas which the world is moving away from. It would have been really interesting to see what would have happened if Russia was actually powerful enough to challenge the west, economically.

I personally hate imposing this liberal culture on everyone especially to countries lower down the developmental spiral. So I can resonate well with what Putin is struggling with here.

It depends, how do you measure the economy?

If you compare it to dollars yeah it's lesser than Texas.

In a scenario which dollar is dumped by major actors, its economy going to be much bigger than Texas.
