How do I know if I like a girl or if I just want to have sex with her? Are they essentially the same thing, or can you have one without the other?

This question is more mysterious and paradoxical to me than what is God :D

From my experience, I can like a girl if she has interesting personality, but she doesn't look attractive.

If I see a hot women walking around I want her sexually only.

I can definitely have one without the other.

For instance, I have a girl at work. She's a very interesting person, she is wise, she reads a lot, she's interesting in psychology etc. But I'm not attracted to her sexually, I would be friends with her

If your penis gets hard, you want to have sex with her. If she makes you laugh, you like her. If both happens to be the case, run and never look back because you're in love.

If you look at your life/your childhood, you may see that you are missing individuals in your life who had certain feminine qualities/abilities. 'Romantic love' from the male perspective is felt towards women who have those feminine qualities. By the same token, 'romantic love' from the female perspective, is felt towards men who have certain masculine qualities, which they specifically need individuals in their lives to have. These are the type of individuals you will be drawn towards.

How do you feel after you have had sex with her?

Do you feel repulsive or very drawn to her?

Do you enjoy cuddling her afterwards?

Do you want her to leave immediately?

Instead of saying I like this, I like that. Replace it: this thing is stimulating my body, this thing is stimulating my mind and this thing is stimulating my heart. These are the only three options I believe.

Then it goes like this:

Only vigor looking body can stimulate another body.

Only interesting clever ideas can stimulate the mind.

Only things born out of truth, purity and love can stimulate your heart to open up.

When your body being stimulated, you feel arousal. (even if it's food actually, not many people know this 🤫)

When your mind is being stimulated, you feel intellectual curiosity.

When your heart essence is being stimulated, you feel like expanding and a sense of union joy, love, sacredness etc.

Somehow this is supposed to answer your question I believe :D much more could be elaborated on this topic tho.

Edit.

I thought of one more. There are things that entice the ego aswell. Like security, power, status etc.

If a person makes you smile, it means your heart is being stimulated. If it makes you horny, then your body is being stimulated. Could be both.

Maybe that's a simpler/better answer.

You have sex with her and after you bust a not, if you wanna die and go home, it means you wanted her just for sex.

If you hug her and keep talking with her after you relaxed from ejaculating, then you're actually interested in her as a person..

Is this what most of the world thinks 'romantic love' is? Out of curiosity?

How are you going to ask me what most of the world thinks. Idk what most of the world thinks. I live in my own world, don't know about you. My comment wasn't serious it was meant to be funny so laugh.

On a serious note, I've past the stage of looking for romantic love, only fools fall in love. Falling in love implies you gotta get back out. I AM LOVE, of which I can share.

How many laughs do you usually get when you say something like this about romantic love? If you get more laughs than not, most of them agree with you.

The reason I'm asking this is that if this is the consensus on 'romantic love', that's incredibly scary.

'Romantic love' is different from absolute love. It's a human idea of love between two individuals who choose to be in a committed relationship.

First, please explain to me whether your idea of 'love' is a consensus or not. Then, once we've established that, when you explain this statement, I will probably understand what you're saying.

I am not like most people. You do you. I don't need romantic love, just someone to have magnificent sex or not and talk all day about nothing.

Most people's love is conditional. That's puppy love. I don't need that. I already have a cat. I don't need anyone to love me. If we want to share life, let's share life together. If we want to make out, let's make out. If we want to eat together let's do that. Whatever we want to do, let's do. I don't need your love, all I require is respect. We can even get married, but not for love just for the sake of getting married because we can.
