I need to know: Is this a misconception I have?

When you look at your dog and make eye contact, his behavior changes. When we look at a quantum wave, its behavior changes. That … sounds to me… like life, Science have discovered life at the quantum level. Reality itself is ALIVE. And you, are, intertangled with it. Einstein took 2 seemingly unrelated thing, space and time and merged them into a new concept "SpaceTime", Quantum mechanics has taken 2 seemingly unrelated things, Mind and Matter and merged them into a new concept "MindMatter".

Looking at a wave and it turning into a particle, is like the act of looking at an apple turns it into an elephant.

Is this what quantum mechanics is saying or am I stuck in a misconception?

What if seeing the apple and then the elephant is the transformation.

Technically QM doesn't say that, there are various interpretations of QM with no agreement.

But as part of our work here we know that mind and matter are entangled because matter is a type of mind.

But you should be careful about using stuff like QM to justify your worldview.

The only thing I am sure quantum mechanics proves is that universe can get as complicated as it can to understand if we try using logical mind. But, sure, the mind creating or affecting matter is another interesting theory arrived using the observed mechanisms, but I believe it's way more complicated than it seems, atleast logically.

In my opinion Rovelli has the most interesting interpretation on quantum mechanics. This is a nice watch if youre interested. His main argument is that relations are more fundamental than the parts and that properties of things ONLY exist in relation to other things.

That's what one of the interpretations of qm says, consciousness is required for the collapse of the wave function according to that.

I still don't get why physicists are more biased to explain things by dividing things up, and why they think that doing that will lead to more fundamental answers about reality.

Bias=division. Without bias....there is no life. Form is bias....so we need bias otherwise we are just formless ONENESS.

It's interesting to know why they are so bought into that idea.

I feel that there is something unique about being a physicist compared to other domains of science and non-scientific domains.

Well yeah an individual and a group is a bias.

There is group bias and individual bias. We call individual bias your perspective, and we call group bias....things like race, gender, country, etc.

For some reason...we never talk about Earth Bias. LOL.
