Is there anything beyond consciousness or infinity?

I think your friend can figure out consciousness only through direct experience.

It does not look like direct experience as a way of knowing is something he has experienced yet. No wonder he doesn't trust in its validity as a method.

Perhaps he could stay open to new ways of knowing, other than those he has experienced before (reading, questioning, dialoguing, etc). After all, he is good at staying open ;)

He has experienced direct experience as a way of knowing through reading, questioning, dialoguing.

The only part I disagree with is that he is good at staying open. He isn't. There is great fear within him.

You are a selfless LACK OF APPEARANCE, that CONSTRUCTS AN APPEARANCE. But that appearance can disappear and reappear and we call that change, we call it time, we call it space, we call it distance, we call distinctness, we call it other. But notice...this appearance, is a SELF. A SELF IS A CONSTRUCTION!!!

So if you want to know the TRUTH OF THE CONSTRUCTION. Just deconstruct the construction!!!! No point in playing these mind games!!! No point in creating needless complexity!!! The truth of what you are is a BLANK!!!! A selfless awareness....then that means there is NO OTHER, and everything you have ever perceived was JUST AN APPEARANCE, A MIRAGE, AN ILLUSION, IMAGINARY.

Everything that appears....appears out of a lack of appearance/void/no-thing, non-sense (can't be sensed because there is nothing to sense). That is what you are, and what arises...is made of that. So nonexistence, arises/creates existence. And thus everything is solved.

That is not what I meant by the direct experience of consciousness.

I had a conversation with a friend. And i told him that its possible to become conscious of absolute infinity, absolute truth and infinite love. He argues and said how can you know that its the final answer? I said through direct experience.

His argument was, what if human beings have a limit to what they can be conscious off and that there is something beyond consciousness or an infinite mind itself? Something that we cannot put into words or understand at all.

So he would rather be agnostic and no make a final conclusion for anything and be in a state of constant not knowing.

What do you guys think about this?

Not knowing is the ultimate enlightened state as far as I am concerned. Your friend is on the money.

Doesn't sound great to the ego, the ego wants to figure it out - "this is the answer, i got it", "I have now completed the game, easy!" Becomes especially strong when it is a spiritual ego and they actually are fully certain they reached the endgame, by means of some crazy spiritual experience where they merge with the Absolute.

It's not sexy to say, I dont know. It doesn't sell books! For financial enlightenment, you need to have something something for the buyer you get me
