A cat dying

6 posts in this topic

A cat that we have in our house yard, became sick a day or two ago. I am certain it is Parvo virus, as I went through the same experience last year with another cat. It is all my fault for not buying vaccines for her, but again there are a lot of cats in our yard and we cannot take care of all of them.

Poor cat is sitting all day alone under a tree with an empty stare, not reacting to anything. She is so weak, she can barely move.

I wish I could take her to the vet, but that would cost me at least 200-300 usd, and even with treatment she might not survive.

Everytime, I look at her, my heart breaks. She was very playful and active and loving.

It is one thing to imagine the suffering of beings, and another  to see their suffering in front of your eyes.

She will most likely be dead in a day or two from dehydration. I hope she dies quick and peacefully.

PS: she died. She took her last breaths before my eyes. A wheezing breath every 20 seconds. Her eyes were staring forward towards nothing. Her breaths became slower and slower until she stopped breathing.

My heart was broken watching her taking her last breaths.

Both of us will be consumed.

My blood and your blood, my suffering and yours is the essence that nourishes the tree of existence.'"

Yes it's hard but it's just a cat.

Next time have a child.

Nothing will prevent Willy.

This was very heartbreaking to read. After reading that post and then seeing this remark. It's like I got hit with two stones. Not judging you, though, as sometimes we tend to hold another responsible for the way we feel, but it was heartbreaking nonetheless.

Sorry. I just meant tacitly the price of keeping such an animal is their low life expectancy.
You will also never have communication and therefore a relationship as strong as with other human beings, therefore a family.

You do what you want, obviously.

Sometimes it's best to not assume such broad statements that "you will never" as that's the life you will create for yourself. That statement is not true and also there are many people who are living with animals and who are communicating with them and are having strong bonded relationships with them. Even service animals. Maybe if you were to adapt a different mentality you might see life differently and maybe not be so limited with your beliefs and maybe enhance your experience for the better.

People in hospitals are sometimes given pets to help with their recovery and these animals have true healing powers. I won't go on about animals and how they enhance our lives, but I will say it is obvious you lack awareness of how and what they can provide to us as humans and also to other animals.
