Announcement - Forum Crash Recovery

The forum crashed last night. Restoring it resulted in about 1 day's worth of data loss. Anything you posted after 6:00am 10/18/23 was lost.

Forum crashes will always happen. They happen a few times a year. Sometimes the data can be restored, sometimes not.

We get about 1 data loss event per year. It's usually 1-2 days of data lost.

Data entered into the database got corrupted. This sometimes happens when connections fail or server processes get interrupted for whatever reason.

I received  SSL protocol error while trying to connect way too many times. No idea.
