Posted March 9 If there have been fears of widening conflict in the Middle East over this war, then why hasn't that happened yet? I mean if Hezbollah and other countries like them have threatened to fight against Israel then wouldn't they have done it already?
Posted March 9 Jews are mostly an Eastern European and (most of all) a Middle Eastern People who have Israel as their homeland by history and stark necessity for their survival as a people. (It goes way deeper than that but those are two of the main points). Jews tend to be a relatively advanced and gentle people, especially given the regions of the world they are from. If you stick to an external idea about how a stage should be you lose touch with its real self customized process trying to happen inside you.
Posted March 9 Seems like the IDF is making real progress destroying the tunnel infrastructure and that Sinwar Hamas leader has fled the scene. Hope the finish what they came for. Netanyahu is a respectable leader. He did not crumble even when the whole world was revolting against him. Impressive stress tolerance.

You ideally impose severe sanctions like boycotts, account freeze, stopping supply of weapons to really make Israel agree to ceasefire. No other neans is enough, even protests are not enough. If you don't threaten their economy they will continue.
