If you boil 100g / 2/3 cup of lentils with 300g / 2 cups of sweet potatoes, blend it all into a soup, and add half a pound or a pound / 400g of red meat, you'll max out 16 out of 22 of your necessary vitamins and minerals + 20g of fiber. Don't forget the seasonings, here's the recipe:

My favorite healthy lunch for today.

Fish (salmon), rice, mixed veggies with a colorful glass of orange juice.

Very good interview. Lots of useful information regarding toxic chemicals in foods and household products.

Lemongrass sauce for cooking.

To food processor add finely chopped lemongrass, garlic, thyme, scallions, ginger, lemon or lime juice, parsley, red pepper flakes, s&p. Process pouring in olive oil through the spout until smooth.   Finish in blender for a smoother consistency.

Rub over fish, chicken or vegetables and cook. Baked, grilled or pan fried. Gives a nice flavor to whatever cooking.

Pancake syrup. Heat raw honey and coconut oil. Two or three drops of lime/lemon juice to balance out the taste and enhance the flavor. That's it. Tastes just like it belongs on pancakes.

Homemade Pancakes.

Banana/Butternut Squash/Oatmeal/Almond Flour/Eggs.

To bowl mash 2 very ripe bananas, add 2-3 eggs and whisk. Add Almond Flour and Oatmeal and grated Butternut Squash, pinch salt. Mix together. Make pancakes and drizzle with homemade syrup. Sprinkle with cinnamon and hemp seeds.

It's time for me to upgrade my diet. Wasn't really focused on it for the las months because I was trying to fix my sleep, but now I can get my hands on diet.

A couple of days ago I had the idea to control the calories I take in a day and to take the same amount of calories everyday. Of course with high quality foods like the ones shown in this thread.

My body is used to eat a lot of calories which will inevitably cause me problems down the road. In consequence, my main challenge is when I consume less calories I have cravings.

On the other hand I am trying to quit caffeine, which will make the cravings for food even more accentuated, since caffeine is a hunger supressor.

Eating the right ammount is as important as eating the right quality of food.

Good thread anyways.

Glad you like it and find it useful. Feel free to post your results, recipes and anything related. Don't just watch calories, in fact, if you're eating wholesome and fresh foods from nature, no need to even watch calories unless it's for specific health reasons or you're trying to lose weight.
