Yippee, I got some company now. Great. You're welcome to. Also share some natural remedies if you have some, and anything to do with what the topic suggests. I like all types of food. Anything but the, SAD - Stupid American Diet aka Standard American Diet.

Somehow I never said that..." I sometimes do the same with tiger nuts" was schizo's quote.

How many nuts do you eat a day? I try to eat a handful, but some days I forget.

I am not that specific and structured in my eating habits. I just eat what I want when I want, for the most part. Fortunately, I'm mostly drawn to healthier foods as that is who I am naturally. As far as nuts goes, I don't count how many i eat, I just incorporate them into my diet whenever I'm snacking or making specific dishes that they go well with. Like, the other day I went to a convenient store to purchase some water and I grabbed a bag of pistachios, which I enjoy eating at night when I'm on the internet and have the munchies.

I put all kinds of nuts in oatmeal, salads, top yogurt, cereals and pancakes amongst other things.

Nice. Her #1 on the list, artificial sugars, is also my #1 avoidance. My sister used to run me down about the Splenda she was using after I told her what it was doing to her brain and body. She kept on using it and now she's pre-diabetic. I also don't do cow's, milk even though I think if it's been fermented as in kefir or yogurt it's not as bad, but still bad. Margarine is not even a food, it's plastic. I do eat meat even though I don't do red meat, only poultry, fish and some seafood. I'm just not as strict with my diet but certain foods I run from like artificial sweetners.

If I listen to my gut in a delicate way, I end up with a sort of vertical, low FODMAP diet.

Made some Orange Tumeric Tea this morning to go with my Pancakes.

Boil Orange Peel with Chopped fresh Tumeric w/pch blk pepp. 10 mins. Let sit for a few min before drinking for the flavors to meld. Serve with lemons if like.

The color was a beautiful golden yellow and it tasted awesome. Can also add some unrefined coconut oil for a great arthritis treatment tea. The oil helps to lubricate the joints while the tumeric does its thing. Tumeric is great for pain.

Pancakes are just 2 eggs,.one banana and some almond flour in a blender with some cinnamon. Blend and cook.

Pistachios are very nutritious. They contain manganese, phosphorus, copper, vitamin B6, potassium, fibre, antioxidants such as lutein, zeaxanthin which are great for eye health. Polyphenols and tocopherols are also present which are also antioxidants.

The antioxidants present are highly bioavailable which means they are easily absorbed. They are among the most antioxidant-rich nuts available. They are also low in calories and are second only to almonds when it comes to protein content. Plus they are delicious and fun to eat.

I personally notice when I eat pistachios I feel 10x better than I normally do and I usually feel pretty good. I'd say to myself, why am I so energized today, then I remember I had pistachios the day before and it happens all the time. So eat your pistachios. They also help with joint pain immensely.

Add them to granola, oatmeal, salads. Use to make pesto and sprinkle crushed pistachios over fish, homemade banana ice-cream and so much more. I just like to eat them as is.

I never buy teas in teabags. Most of them are filled with junk and the bags themselves are oftentimes bleached. They are a hit or miss..Loose teas are a better option if bought from a reputable company.

You can simply make teas at home from scratch using a variety of ingredients. This one is a simple thyme tea with lime. Just gently boil fresh thyme in a pot with water for about 10mins (simmer on low). Let it sit for about 5mins more to allow for the flavor to meld and add lemon or lime or just drink as is.

This tea can help to clear up congestion, aid in asthma and has a lot of medicinal properties.

Use these lemon packets for cleaning. They are not a substitute for real lemons in teas and preparing food. Zoom in and check out the ingredients.

I use them to scent my dish detergent. I also use them for wiping down my kitchen and other surfaces. I put in a spray bottle with water and spray. I may add orange peels to the mix and the appropriate essential oil as in grapefruit or orange or whatever I have on hand, but isn't necessary.

I just open a bunch and squeeze in a bottle and pour in whatever I'm using it for or just pour right on the surface for cleaning.

Can also use in laundry. I also buy bottled lemon juice for the same purpose.

I never buy commercial cleaning products. I only use lemons, baking soda and vinegar and an occasional wipe with cheap coconut oil on furniture (as long as it is compatible) to clean my house and my house never stinks and when I'm done it's sparkling clean and disinfected with the use of the lemons and vinegar. Baking soda is good for hard to clean surfaces and works just as good as the commercial scrubs. Cut a lemon in half, sprinkle baking soda on the cut side and use as a scrub or use the lemons in the package.

Simple One Pot Meal

Chicken/Potatoes/Chickpeas

To pot, add EVOO and seasoned chicken legs that have been cut in half. Season how you like. Cook approx 10mins. Add halved white potatoes, chopped onion/garlic. Cook 5mins then add Chickpeas. Place in 350 degree oven for 45mins or until Chicken is cooked through.

Variations: Add chopped fresh tomatoes or canned. Add basil, parsley or cilantro. Substitute sweet potatoes for the white. Use any kind of white beans. Add fresh Spinach, broccoli or mustard greens. Thyme and or oregano are herbs that goes nicely with this. I used dried Italian Seasoning. Complimentary spices are cumin, star anise, fennel.

This is just about to go in the oven. I will add chopped parsley when done.

even small quantity of sugar i feel its negative effect, yoga is pushing me slowly to be a vegetarian i might only keep eggs and eat fish as a meat alternative eventually but am not gonna be super strict

people argue for hours how sugar is not bad for them then boom things happen not always

i love milk but after hearing teal i start sensing how my body is not really efficient i still dink it but not very high quantity

i feel meat is great for my body yet yoga slowwwly is getting me out of it xD

i try to eat super clean most of the times food i made my self and im somewhat extremely strict but not when it comes to milk creem and meat and you could say non processed food , i dont think there is artificial sweeteners in my food like at all

i only eat some sugar with raw chocolate the last month

yogurt  is a medicine for me just like garlic

Do you use Chapsticks? They are addictive; meaning the more you use, the more you need to use. These are highly toxic and are useless. Ever since I ditched them years ago and started to use a more natural alternative, my lips don't get as dry.

Alternatively, this is what I do. On occasion, I rub my lips with raw honey and just leave it on till I suck them dry. I may exfoliate my lips with a brown sugar or coffee scrub w/ coconut oil or any good skin oil. The honey leaves them moist and not needing to moist my lips every frigging minute. The scrub gets rid of dead skin.

I may use coconut oil to moisten, or this 100% cocoa butter stick. I keep it in my purse and use as needed which isn't too often and depending on the weather or if I've just eaten and wiped my lips. My lips aren't constantly dry like it used to be yrs ago when I used to use chapstick and couldnt do without it. Now I now why. It dries out the lips.

I just use the cocoa butter stick as shown in the photo.

This is not a coffee substitute, it is it's own thing. Try it, especially if you're trying to cut down or eliminate coffee because of the caffeine. I drink coffee on occasion, so I'm not against it, but I think this is just as good or even better tasting. The cloves is what makes it taste like coffee.

One is without the almond milk, the other is with the milk added.

Just boil cloves (1tbl spoon)whole or ground, and one cinnamon stick or grounded (1tbl spoon) in a small pot with water for approx 10mins. Experiment with the time, less for milder taste, more for stronger taste. Add milk of choice if preferred.
