Logic and reason are products of Truth, not the Truth itself.

Human logic and reasoning are very limited.

But there's a sort of higher logic that transcends human logic.

There are many normal level logic and reasoning not discovered yet but can be understood by humans.

What is logic? What is reason?

The questions arising in your mind like why, how, what?

Consider that something that seems completely illogical and unreasonable can be extremely intelligent.

Ask yourself how or why this could even be a possibility.

I already think it is possible!

How and why?

Logic and reason arise from our older beliefs and knowledge from our past experiences. So, it is not necessary for everything to function logically to be correct.

Ironically, this too arise from logic!

Woah.

I’m a newbie at contemplation and exploring how it works (which is what prompted my questions to begin with). When I first read your statement, I was automatically looking for faults in your reasoning, as that’s my bias and programming that I’ve become used to (like you say, based on past experiences). I couldn’t find anything to argue about, so I ignored what you said.

But then I gave some space/openness to allow my mind an opportunity to gather new insight and to sit with the discomfort of not knowing. I was able to come back to re-read your statement with a brand new perspective after the short break!

Instead of just looking for faults in your reasoning on the second read, I’m now aware/focused on the structure of how you responded! I see that you addressed the “How” and “Why” questions neatly:

  • how: Logic and reason arise from our older beliefs and knowledge from our past experiences.
  • why: So, it is not necessary for everything to function logically to be correct.

(I may have messed up which is how and why is why, but you get the point. I’m just seeing it from another perspective, lol… wait, that’s me looking for fault again xD)

Thank you for identifying your bias and agreeing to that openly. Only few people can do that. Keep the same character as you learn more and more, and you will then learn the most.

Though most of what I type arise from my conscious logical thinking, some words that I type arise intuitionally, that sometimes I have to recheck why I have wrote that and where it came from and how it seem to have deep meanings!
