What is the rough number of people on earth are enlightened?

What is the rough number of people who are enlightened on earth? I remember Leo saying in an enlightened video that they’re is roughly 10000 people who know the truth. Enlightenment is not binary. So very very hard to say.

I remember watching that video back in highscool, I ended up crying a lot, I was in like a “shock” moment contemplating my whole existence. After that I think it leveled up my spiritual practices.

You can't even measure it because you don't really know whose testimony you trust. But you can't measure it by any other means either.

Who decides who is enlightened? Is there a symptoms catalog like the DSM for mental illness? Who defines a thing like that?

Sure, you could at least rule some people out that clearly aren't.. but can you really know for sure?

I would guess 10k is about right over the last 300,000 years. Maybe early man was enlightened and we have lost our way despite all our "progress."

Jesus and the Buddha seem like they are on the highest level. Or maybe they were more like bodhisattvas and most enlightened people are incognito on the down low. 

Wikipedia has lists of Buddhas. Each sect of Buddhism has its own lists of Buddhas and bodhisattvas. There are many claimants of Buddhahood. There are celestial buddhas.

There are many sages like Rumi or Allan Watts. They seem to know the non dual truth but would you consider them to be enlightened? Eckhart Thoelle?
