Hurt others' ego as much as possible

The way you said it in beginning was weird and even I didn't get what you meant. If being brutally honest to people was what you meant then you're correct and that's the way to go. Build up people by always being more and more honest with them until they gotta face the truth. Practice your communication btw, because the way you did it in start was so bad basically everyone got your message wrong.

I feel that the title was a bit too intense, although it achieved its purpose of creating a debate. When it comes to communication, English is my second language, so basically I am weak there. Also, I was half asleep, so that might have played a role there.

At the same time you should realize there is no point helping anyone realize anything, because it's your dream and life and there's nothing else. Helping is just you coping thinking that you're good person, but why you need to feel being lie a good person. Think about that.

-joNi-

It's not me helping others to realise something, it's me giving new perspective to things that are well established like a rock in other people's minds. I enjoy doing that, that's why I do it, even if it's my dream.

Coming to helping other people, it gives me joy when someone benefits from my thoughts or actions. So, you can call it a selfish act.

There is none.

Then who is wrong? What defines wrongness?

What you resist, persists and less of you exists. There is a part of you that never leaves. You are not in; you have never been. You know. You put it there and time stretches.

It's not about correct or wrong, but being closer to the truth. Reducing the egoistic mind, especially that of spiritual ego which many people get trapped with is advised my many spiritual traditions to get closer to the truth. I can only assume things based on my experiences and knowledge. Deciding what is good for you is upto the individual.

What decides if one is closer to the truth or not?

If you can only assume based on your experience and knowledge... how do you know you are closer to the truth?

But you have to question why you like doing it in the first place. It most of the times is because it makes you feel good about yourself, but the reality is that you should feel good about yourself regardless if you help others or not. Helping is an another addiction, I know it, because I've been there and I loved it. Nowadays I try to aim helping only people very close to me to build stronger connection with them and not just for pity pleasure. When one is addicted to helping he might start putting himself in second in things and that'll cause problems later on. Hopefully you see what I try to say, because it'd save so much time of yours.

So someone with more experience and knowledge is closer to Truth?

Know there is nothing to know.

When you put yourself second in things, it means your ego is weakening, apart from the pleasure it gives. ( Unless you consider yourself superior because you are helping lots of people). It may become problematic for your own survival, but it also pulls you closer to God. Instead of sitting and meditating for hours, without eating well and putting yourself to suffering, helping others by putting yourself to second or trying to be selfless, is a better way, in my opinion.

There is nothing to know, but many things to experience.  How do you come to know there is nothing to know?

Make new discord account with random name and picture and hop on it. How anyone could know anything and I keep everything said between us, because one of my values is keeping promises.

I didn't get the answer to the question. Is someone with more experience and knowledge closer to Truth?

I know because I am. I am without. Not with. A nothing is not something. I know because the absence is so recognizable... that it could be nothing but what it is... because nothing could describe it.

The answer is a firm no, but the probability of them being closer to the truth increases with experience and knowledge in my opinion. That doesn't mean a humble guy with no experience and knowledge can't be closer to the truth than an experienced one.

It's once again a belief. The journey matters more than the destination, but it isn't wrong to be curious where the destination is, as long as it doesn't affect others.

In case you guys haven’t noticed, Leo stopped using the concept of “ego” in his teachings. I’ve only seen him use the word “ego” once on this forum in the past several months.

Contemplate why you’re attached to the concept of “ego”.

There is no person.?

The problem with nondual teachings “there is no person” “you don’t exist” is that taken literally, it can be used as a green light to avoid confronting your fears, as well as delude yourself into thinking that suppressing your desires is healthy in the long-term.

“Well, I don’t exist. So therefore, I shouldn’t have sex because that would mean that I’m going back to being a person and existing.”
What a bunch of nonsense!

What is the measurement of distance from  Truth? 10 meters? 100 Km?  1.5 million Km?

Is it measured in quantity of experience and knowledge?

3 Qualities... Humble. No experience. No Knowledge.  And they are closer to truth?

What does it mean? Closer to truth?

We try to get less attached to our ego, but we become more attached to trying to reduce our attachment to ego. My solution to this problem is to simply be aware of our ego, knowing that being more egoistic is not good for yourself, instead of thinking that becoming less egoistic would help me in my Enlightenment. The thing is, we don't get enlightenment by chasing it, but we get a lot of other good stuff because of that chasing.

Striving to be less egoic to help aid in reaching enlightenment sounds very egoic.

What all of you spiritual people fail to realize is that doing things, living best life for yourself and making it best exactly precisely for you is NOT a bad thing. The only problem occurs if you don't act out of love in various scenarios. That's the only meter of how well you're living your life is how much love you feel inside. You guys need to realize you're broken inside and you need to love yourself more and not just cope by feeling gimplses of love by bending backwards on people and calling yourself a hero. You ain't hero. Just pure non standard simp trying to feel love by all means possible.

It is true though that when person starts to live life based on love instead of survival and pity pleasures (so called egoic stuff) he'll have so much fuller life experience full of beauty, love and intelligence. You need to start contemplating by yourself what you want out of your life instead of listening all types of teachers and copying their approach and acting like you're so fantastic because you can parrot sentences that young child could even do. The answer waiting for most of you is deep realization that you'll always be "selfish" whatever that means for your own purposes. There's nothing wrong with that.

Who the fuck told you that it is wrong to love yourself so much that you give your whole life experience in totality for yourself. That's the only way anything makes any sense. Wake the FUCK UP!
