Abbundance mindset in business, relationships and well being

1 post in this topic

You are a finite being so you can't fully take on an "infinity mindset" (abundance mindset) as the character. The reason is why simple: opportunity costs. If you do one thing you can't do another thing aka you can't have your cake and eat it too.

My point is: abundance mindset can be misused very easily for making bad choices. I can't build LP and at the same time go out every night and hide behind this abundance mindset for example. I can't eat fried food everyday and be healthy too.

In my opinion abundance mindset should be balanced with scarcity mindset because you are a finite being. This can be seen in health very clearly. Health is a scarce thing and you should be careful with it. People who have an abundance mindset on the topic of health eat a lot of bad food or use a lot of psychedelics and use it and after they lose it they discover that health is a scarce thing. If they understood they are a finite being they wouldn't make this mistake in the first place.

Without a scarcity mindset it is impossible to have gratitude. Only if something is scarce you will value it. That is just how the human works. But the thing is to realize the value/scarcity/beauty of something (like your health) before loosing it. In the same way a lot of people only see the divinity of life on their death bed when scarcity mindset finally kicks in.

I realized this with my LP and my time on earth. I had this abundance mindset about my LP but it was toxic. I thought I had all the time in the world but that is just a childish take on things. There is great value and beauty in scarcity. The reason why we value beauty is because it is scarce, if beauty was everywhere all would be the same, and we wouldn't even turn our head. And why make something beautiful, if everything is equally beautiful in the grand scheme of things? Perhaps if you can't die you can afford this mindset but if you believe your life is going to end one day, there is the reality of opportunity cost; you can't eat your cake and have it too. And if you think you can you are in for nasty surprised in health, wealth and other endeavours.
