Is there a chance we have free choice?

You could've chosen to not say that

You have free will in the sense that choices seem to present themselves to you and you're able to evaluate each choice according to some inner thought or feeling, and then you'll experience yourself making a choice according to that. You also don't have free will in the sense that you don't choose which choices, thoughts or feelings present themselves to you.

Free will is a tricky one if you really want to figure it out.

You do have a free will. At the same time, the life you are living has pre-determined scripts. Which scripts play out depend on the choices you make using your will. You can also use your will to get out of this pre-determined game alltogether. If you choose to do so, as you awaken, your mind will grow stronger and your will as well. At the highest levels, you can do things considered miraculous, but at those levels the ego is dissolved to such an extent that you barely care about them. Finally, when you lay down this body for the final time and return to heaven, there is no need to think or use your will at all, since who you are is perfect love, and that is what is happening in heaven - an endless explosion of perfect love, so you just enjoy it, no choices are needed there.

The more conscious You are, the freer your will.

This is incredibly intelligent design. God is not going to give some utter fool complete free will. The more evolved (=God-like) You are, the more agency You have. In a sense You are rewarded for evolving.

Also, God is Free Will.

There is no cause and effect, only the appearance of it. If cause and effect existed, the same result would always happen. But the same conditions can exist and change can happen out of nowhere. This is why all statistics have variability, and logic has limits. Cause and effect is finite, reality is not bound by cause and effect because it is infinite so cause and effect....don't exist.
