Yep, it works in the short-term. Just like how science, other spiritual teachings, etc., are useful for a while.

I was writing the post with Orthodox Christianity in mind. But it also applies to evangelicals.

Of course, it can help you in your internal crisis, but you pay a huge price for that. You give up the ability to re-evaluate your worldview. The truth becomes the beliefs that they helped you construct.

It doesn't matter how many mystical experiences you get, which I doubt is a lot; it's still not like the experience that meditation or other methods give you.

Belief-based religions make you think that you have the truth by not giving tools that can help you experience and understand the world more deeply, honestly, open-mindedly, and truthfully.

There's literally NOTHING to achieve. It's already complete, perfect and round. And out of that you can create ANYTHING.

As long as you didn't have this recognition you live in fear. But as soon as that happens – we can finally begin to PLAY.

And notice: It doesn't become perfect in that moment, you don't arrive anywhere, you realize that it always has been perfect and you were always already there. Because it's IMPOSSIBLE that it's otherwise. So is the nature of what you are.

True, but such reckless oversimplification is not going to fly with the Wallbreaker. My man loves his imaginary complications WAY too much to just throw them overboard like that... ooooh no sir. It's like asking Linus to throw away his security blanket!

I like that, I have stopped to trying to have morals or trying thinks in a conscious way. It just doesn't work. I'm just going to be selfish and let the fucker that created this macabre game (Reality) solve it itself.

Just because the mind is a complicated trap. There is one trap after another. You don't need to understand them, you can live trapped in them, like almost everyone does, but if your intention is to get out of them, you must understand them.
