The subtle nuances and meaning built by music can only truely be appriciated the degree intended by intelligent individuals. Especially with classical music. The genius in those tracks are dumbfounding if you're capable of conceiveing it.

We focus too much on cognition. Genius comes from allowing the Self to emerge inside us. I've got a decent thinking mind, but it's less important than the open space inside that allows power to enter and flow. The eternal sound is the beginning of music. There is nothing more "intelligent" than this.

I've tried that. In my experience it was a compulsive singing - I was singing Us national anthem, third french empire anthem - it generated a lot of dopamine spikes. After some time I've started to murmuring parts of these songs. After the whole day of this compulsive activity I feel exhausted. If I become conscious of the compulsivity - I stop singing.

Geniuses are actually more full of life than the rest of the people. I personally find myself exhausted after the several hours of listening to music

I didn't believe in IQ before, but after I watched veritasium video about it, I became convinced that it has huge impact on your success in life. People with low IQ aren't allowed to US army because they have larger chance to die during combat actions.

I like to "dabble" and one of the things I got into was studying musical theory, the clefs, and it's made me appreciate classical music that much more. Western musical notation is really quite amazing in it's own right, the way the notes are designed around sound frequencies and that when you go up an octave you are basically just doubling the frequency, so that say middle C is 261.6 hz, an octave higher is 523 hz... they understood this before they even knew what frequencies in hertz even were... that when you double a frequency it has a similar sound. 

There's a lot I don't really even understand yet, like paying music in particular keys, the makeup of chords, the circle of fifths, etc.  I did understand briefly but if you don't use something constantly you'll tend to lose the information over time.  This is a really good musical theory course free if anyone here is interested...
