Great Expression: Eat the Cherry, Spit Out the Seed!

Most ideas and sets of ideas have a combination of good and bad in them. 
Put the cherry in your mouth, meaning you fully consider the idea. 
Feel that it has a positive part and a negative part. 
Separate the two.
Spit out the bad part.
Ingest the good part and digest it. 

This is an expression I think of almost daily.
