We know what consciousness is so what is the role of intuition

We all have felt that intuitive hit to do something in our lives, what is this? How does intuition relate to consciousness? Maybe we’re supposed to live in alignment to our inner voice/whispers from infinite intelligence.

Definitely. The voice of conscience (the inner maternal voice of morality and reason that tells you what and what not to do) speaks through your intuition and guides you towards higher levels of consciousness. It's heavily simplified, but evolutionarily speaking, it's reasonable to think that humans primarily developed language and a strong feeling of social responsibility because the mother had to take care of their severely underdeveloped young. So it's not surprising that you've been given an internal representation of this dynamic as a voice (and which at least for me feels like my mother's voice). You can also think of it more generally as the echoes of your ancestors. Sheldrake's morphic resonance also comes to mind (he is going to be on a panel discussion at my university in december ).

Everything is intuited but the logical mind adds words onto the process. We don't really think to a conclusion, the process of thinking doesn't happen in words, the words follow.

Consider that animals don't have language to even think in, but are still able to figure things out.
